Weather conditions in Tortuguero are warm and humid. Daily temperatures average 26º degrees C (79º F) and annual average rainfall is over 5,000 mm (200+ inches). Warm days are tempered by trade winds and cool nights.

For a comfortable trip we suggest you to bring:

• Cotton type clothes of easily drying
• Camera
• Binoculars for bird-watching and easy observe wildlife
• Hat or Cap
• Sun block
• Insect repellent
• Comfortable shoes
• Sandals
• Swimming suite
• Rain gear Please recall you are visiting a rainforest area and you can expect rains at any time of the year... so it is better to be prepared. ( we provide umbrellas at the lodge )

If you are planning on taking our night walk during the turtle season make sure to bring dark color type clothes (black, green, blue).
