Located within the boundaries of the famous Braulio Carrillo National Park in a rainforest mountain range, Rio Danta Restaurant & Reserve is just at a 90 minute drive from San Jose, towards the Province of Limon, 6 km heading North-East from the main entrance to Sarapiqui, an area of virtually untouched forest.
Surrounded by 24 acres of magnificent gardens, tropical trees and natural trails, the Restaurant overlooks the Danta River, formed from one of the most important lagoons in the Braulio Carrillo National Park, the Danta Lagoon.
With a visit to Rio Danta, you will enjoy a wonderful meal, surrounded by the sounds and colors of the Rainforest. From here, one can continue with the exploration of this area, including very interesting places such as the Rainforest Aerial Tram, Costa Flores, Earth Station, canopy tours and butterfly gardens. It is also a great stop when on the way to Limon, Sarapiqui and South Caribbean.
